What it's like to be in therapy with me
I believe we’re all doing the best we can, but sometimes we don’t know why life isn’t going as well as we'd like. Whether you’re struggling with relationships, loneliness, career ambitions, or fulfillment, therapy provides a safe environment to better understand what’s troubling you. Sometimes, we need permission to feel. Other times, we need to uncover our authentic selves. No matter the personal challenge, I will always provide you with curiosity and acceptance.
Using psychodynamic and attachment theories, I try to help clients understand how life experiences shape personality and relationships. I use mindfulness techniques and mentalization-based therapy to aid in the awareness of emotions and relationship patterns. I also use narrative therapy for clients who like to collaborate on rewriting their personal story.
I specialise in helping adolescent and grown men as they navigate the complicated demands of culture, gender roles, and fulfilment. As men we've received messages that can conflict with our feelings and needs. I can help you identify and accept these feelings in an effort to reframe your approach to life.
