What it's like to be in therapy with me

My approach to psychotherapy is to create a space where you feel more at ease – more comfortable to process experiences that may be hard to look at or make sense of otherwise. Together we will explore the past and the present, including how relationships, beliefs, and defenses may be helping you cope, causing challenges, or bringing a sense of purpose. My goal is to help you deepen your self-awareness and find meaningful growth.

Throughout our sessions I'll encourage deliberate reflection on the therapeutic relationship – what’s working for you, where we can make shifts to better suit your needs, and how we can use this information to facilitate clarity and veritable change in your life.

I specialize in working with teenagers and their families as well as couples in distress. Prior to being a therapist, I worked in the arts and am keen on helping creatives and academics traverse challenges within their fields. I integrate psychodynamic, postmodern, and attachment-based modalities in my practice, and I make a conscious effort to attend to cultural dynamics with sensitivity and care.

If you’d like to schedule a 15-minute phone consultation to see if we might be a good fit or to receive a referral for another provider, please don’t hesitate to contact me
