LGBTQIA & Gender-affirming Therapy
As psychotherapists who understand the nuances of gender and what it is to be LGBTQIA in the modern world, we are experienced in talking about:
-
Transitioning or exploring your gender
-
Being non-binary
-
Your sexual problems
-
Your kinks
-
Being poly
-
Wanting to open up your relationship
-
Coming out of the closet
-
Never having dated or been in a relationship
-
Being asexual
-
Wanting to feel in control
-
Feeling between two worlds
-
Being addicted to sex or porn.

Do you feel ashamed or embarrassed sometimes about not having it all figured out as it relates to your gender, sexual orientation, and sexual preferences?
Shame is a sticky emotion. It’s difficult to find your way out of it because to get through feelings you have to give them space and allow yourself to experience them. Nobody wants to experience shame - that's why we lock it away, often in unhealthy ways.

So how does therapy dispel the shame? When you talk openly with an expert about how you feel, the process gradually can help the shame to feel different. And once you name the shame, it can be released. Let the therapists at Los Feliz Psychotherapy help you with that process.
Over the course of many years, Christina supported my personal growth through several challenging transitions in my life. She is a passionate and engaging therapist. Always curious but never judgmental, she is genuinely interested in her patients.
